ABOUT THE QUEER HOMELESS YOUTH OF AMERICA

-1.6 million youth are homeless in the United States and 40% of this youth identifies as LGBTQIA+ (truecolorsfund.org, 2018)

-Queer homeless youth are physically or sexually victimized on average seven times more than non-LGBTQ identified homeless youth. 

​

A sense of hope and security for these adolescents are being provided by community agencies and government welfare programs.
